This Isn’t What Coaster Moulds Are For — BUT I DID IT ANYWAY!

In this video I use square coaster moulds to make something they were never actually designed for. I begin by casting the square pieces, then add printed waterslide images, seal them with a final coat of resin, and once all the pieces are ready I assemble them into a finished form. What starts out looking like a set of simple resin coasters becomes something completely different by the end. I’ve never seen this method done before, so this was a genuine experiment to see whether the idea would actually work in practice. Projects like this are a good reminder that moulds do not always have to be used for their most obvious purpose, and sometimes the most interesting results come from pushing materials in a different direction.
