Home Buyers LOSING Mortgages? Well... Another non QM lender is in turmoil and they may no longer have the staff or funding to complete mortgages that are currently in underwriting. Multiple other non QM lenders have already filed for bankruptcy. And more are likely to come. If someone applying for a mortgage with one of these non qm lenders isn't able to get a denial letter, it could be bad news for that borrower / home buyers as they would need a denial letter from that lender. If there are no employees, then it's possible the borrower could be in some trouble. As always, if you are in this situation, be sure to reach out to a real estate attorney in your area.
