This video was done as part of a Casey Neistat filmmaking course that I took back in Jan/Feb of 2022. I was struggling to come up with a solid idea and time was running out when it hit me. I was getting so frustrated trying to find stuff in my studio and I desperately needed better organization! So why not put up a some shelves, film it and try and make a video out of that? I locked myself in the basement for FIVE HOURS and at the end I had some shelves, better organization and hopefully enough footage to make a short video. The whole thing really was about learning new techniques and trying something completely different. It was fun to experiment with new techniques and hopefully I can bring some of that energy to my drone and tech videos. And, as a bonus, I got some decent shelves, which are making things SO MUCH EASIER to find! As always, thanks for watching! PS I know what you’re wondering. Did he just cut his floor joists? No. The previous owner of our house put a drop ceiling in the basement on top of two by fours nailed to the joists. I cut some of those two by fours back to make the shelves work. Eventually that whole drop ceiling is coming down because it's honestly terrible.
