DJI Mavic Mini First Flights

These are my first flights with the new DJI Mavic Mini. Every piece of footage was shot at 2.7K @ 30fps, uploaded to YouTube @ 1080p. There was absolutely no post-processing work done on these clips. Each clip is as-is, straight out of the camera. I was using exposure lock (AE lock) and exposure compensation extensively while shooting footage. I was actually very surprised how well the Mini determined correct exposure - not too much adjustment was needed on my part. I was also very impressed with auto white balance. The colour was mostly accurate and I did not notice too much fluctuation of colour from shot to shot. My observations are that the Mavic Mini footage is very “crispy”. That is to say it is heavily sharpened (almost too much), very saturated and with lots of contrast. Footage from my other drone, the DJI Spark, is very similar but the detail from the Mini’s camera is much, much better. A sub-250g drone allows me to fly within many City of Calgary Parks. As far as I can from reading the City of Calgary bylaws on “micro” drones, I am flying within the law. Flying over city streets is prohibited with any category of drone.
