In this video I’m testing the brand new MPH by Mary Phillip Skin Weightless Serum Foundation in shade 110N—and I’m doing it with no skincare, no primer, nothing. It’s a serum consistency (make sure you shake it), and it’s packed with 2% niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, so I really wanted to see if it could still look smooth and “healthy” on bare skin. Before foundation, I underpaint with Mary’s underpainting palette because she says this foundation is meant for that technique, and honestly… the sculpt is already snatched before I even start. I apply a thin layer starting in the center of my face and blend out with her new foundation brush (I love it—and yes, the shorter handle is a win). The coverage isn’t heavy, but it’s controlled and somehow still hides what I need it to hide without erasing my underpainting underneath. The finish is super natural—not flat matte, not overly glowy—just healthy skin. It does have a little scent that I’m not loving, but once it’s on, I don’t notice it. If you’re in a rush, this is one of those “sunscreen, underpaint, thin layer, out the door” foundations.
