Hi, friends! I need your help! I've had this M1 in my possession for as long as I can remember - it was gifted to me when I was very young, and I'm hoping to figure out exactly just how old it is. Here's what I've deduced: *Front Seam* - manufacturing switches to rear seams in the winter of '44 *Fixed Bale* - suggests that it was manufactured before November of 1943 *I believe these are Schlueter-production bales given the shape *Steel Rim* - most manufacturing moves to manganese rims after roughly October '44 *Flat Brass Buckle* *OD#3 Webbing* I cannot for the life of me decipher any heat stamp markings on the inside of the shell - I have to assume they've worn away over the years, but if you can spot anything, please let me know! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!
