Right in the heart of downtown Miami lies a hidden archaeological treasure—the Miami Circle. This ancient site dates back 7,000 years and is believed to have been a powerful ceremonial and diplomatic hub for the Tequesta people. What archaeologists uncovered was more than a ring of holes in limestone—it was evidence of a thriving Indigenous city with thousands of residents, long before European contact.
