In this video I hop into Logic Pro and show you how I use UJAM Instruments to build a pop / pop-funk type beat fast—without overthinking it. I start in E minor at 106 BPM with Virtual Pianist, literally just playing chords and letting the plugin generate a playable pattern. Then I flip through a couple vibe options (like soft/dark) to change the feel instantly, because that’s the whole point: you can plop these in your DAW and your ideas start moving right away. After that I bring in UJAM drums and audition patterns by tapping keys until something hits, then I record a couple variations and build out the arrangement. I show how you can tweak kick selection, beat style, bass/beat intensity, mix, and even swap kits to fit the track. From there I add Virtual Guitarist (Amber) for rhythm, Virtual Bassist (Slap) for that pop movement, and then another guitar layer (Carbon) tucked in the back for energy. To demo how it sits in a real track, I drop in a vocal from Splice, add a little “Warm Plate” retro vibe, and finish by throwing Ozone 10 on the master with a quick pop/EDM-style preset.
