“what's going on guys welcome to channel and today i want to show you a reverb trick that is going to change the way you do your reverb in vocals it's going to be a short video with a really quick tip but you can hear the difference almost instantaneously so here we go let's listen to before and after and then let's jump into what exactly this is this is the reverb before [Music] all right and this is after [Music] if you can't hear the difference what i'm gonna do is first play it without it right here soloed now if you don't know what i'm doing i am adding a simple de-esser at the reverb channel before i add the reverb so again let's just quickly bypass it before and after and you can almost hear the difference so you can see the reverb is almost pleasing to the ears the s's are not cutting through the reverb so much it's not too top and heavy again let's listen to it again super simple and effective trick i'm using each reverb right here and i'm using the dsf from waves if you are interested in waves plugins i'm going to leave a link in the description it helps the channel out but again you can do this with stock plug-ins as well and where it really makes a difference is at the mastering stage where you're just bumping up the volume and balancing things out that reverb is really going to cut through and the s is going to be really really high and heavy and unpleasing to the ears almost especially if you're using a long reverb that's a bit more shiny so try adding a de-esser right before your reverb on the reverb bus let me know how that goes for you if you like this kind of content make sure to hit the subscribe button leave a comment and i'll talk to you soon”
