This $25 Snowblower Mod Will Save Your Back

I got tired of walking behind my snowblower… so I built this. I welded up a DIY ride-behind “sulky” that lets me SIT while snowblowing — and it actually works. This might be one of the silliest-looking winter builds I’ve ever made, but after clearing snow every other day on our steep, icy homestead driveway, I wanted something that would save my back and make winter chores easier. In this video, I show how I built a sulky for a walk-behind snowblower, what materials I used, how much it really cost, and whether or not it’s worth building yourself. I walk through the full DIY process using mostly scrap metal, test how well the snowblower can pull me (I’m ~280 lbs), and share the good, the bad, and the limitations of this setup — including how it performs on ice, flat ground, and deeper snow.
