DIY | LEGO Display boxes with built in lighting

This week I tackled something I have wanted to build for some time. When I'm not in the workshop I can be found building Lego. Cars being my favourite. I wanted to be able to display them and be a feature of the living room. I wanted them to look like they were in showrooms hence the recess lighting. I used Ikea lighting as I didn't need to have a sparky do any work and it was plug and play. They were also not that expensive. The lego boxes themselves are made from birch plywood. The back panel sides out for the cars to come out and the front is perspex which is easy to work with and can be cut using any wood working blade.
