I recently migrated from Hassbian to Hassio and during the process needed to tweak my USPS integration since I wasn’t sure how to get it to run on hassOS. While that will be a topic for a later video, I figured it would be good to share my current setup for anyone who was looking to integrate USPS with Home Assistant and not knowing how since the official integration has been removed. The source for my my setup is https://blog.kalavala.net/usps/homeassistant/mqtt/2018/01/12/usps.html and the write up is very good. You could follow that doc and be good. I however, being the tinker-er that I am, made some minor changes that I think makes it easier to maintain. Who am I? My Name is Jeff. I am an automator of things, and a huge Home Assistant fan. I also live in a house that tweets.
