Build Smarter Automations in Home Assistant Using Scripts

Most of us get into home automation because we want a smart home. But what we end up with just changing who is turning on and off the devices. With Home Assistant, you can turn your basic automations into something that feels a lot like a smart home using scripts to add some simple decision logic. To achieve this, we can use scripts with our Home Assistant automations. In this video, I walk through a simple example of how you can combine multiple actions each with their own conditions into a single automation in Home Assistant. And I'll do it without editing YAML.
