The Burson V7 series (Vivid and Classic) gave me two distinct flavors on the J3 Pro’s balanced output. The Vivid is that clean, transparent, slightly sharper-edged and dynamic presentation, while the Classic pulls things a bit warmer and softer without turning it into a “tube” sound.
Pros
- +Vivid is highly detailed and very dynamic with strong imaging
- +Classic adds a slightly warmer, smoother edge while keeping good detail
- +Aluminum casing on V7 helps with heat dissipation
Cons
- -Vivid vs Sparkos differences can be extremely small in practice
- -Classic has slightly less bass extension/control than Vivid/2590 to my ears
