If you’re still taking notes during meetings, you’re already behind. In this video, I tested three popular AI meeting assistants—Bluedot, Otter AI, and Fireflies AI—to see which one actually saves you the most time without feeling complicated. I walk you through what each tool does (recording, transcription, summaries, and searching), but more importantly, I show you how the experience changes depending on the platform—because “AI meeting assistant” can mean very different workflows. I start with Bluedot because it’s the most beginner-friendly and it’s non-invasive: it works in your browser with a Chrome extension, so there’s no bot showing up in your meeting as a participant. I also show how you can pick different summary templates (general notes, screening interview, sales notes, key takeaways), search the transcript, and use AI Chat to ask questions across up to 10 recordings. Then I compare that to Otter AI, which is the most well-known and is really strong for fast, accurate live transcription—but it’s more transcription-first and typically joins as a bot. Finally, I cover Fireflies AI, which is more advanced and built for teams, with automation, collaboration, and integrations like Slack, Notion, and CRM. My recommendation is simple: Bluedot for beginners/solo, Otter for transcription accuracy, and Fireflies for teams and automation—start free, then upgrade once it fits your workflow.
