REVIEW Graphics: ✔️ It won't win any awards for its graphics. Kart models are decent enough for a SimCade. ✔️ Tracks are fictitious and equally average, but good enough for SimCade. ❌ No real dynamic weather or conditions to discuss, just a handful of light alterations. Audio: ✔️ Kart engine audio is OK, could be improved. ❌ Lacks collisions audio. ❌ No tyre screeching. ❌ No Crash Audio. Performance: ✔️ Solid performance on max settings in 4K @60fps. ✔️ No stability issues. ✔️ No bugs to speak of. ❌ Very limited control or settings options, but should run fine on almost any system. Immersion: ❌ It completely lacks immersion for numerous reasons: Mostly the lack of audio & no wheel/pedal support. Realism: ✔️ Once you get used to the controls, it does show elements of realism. ✔️ MAX AI is aggressive and gives you ZERO quarter (Which I like). ❌ Some areas of the handling felt a little off and are in need of a tweak. ❌ Physics whilst not 100% authentic, do enough to feel realistic. Gameplay Systems: ✔️ Very basic and lacking in depth ATM. (EA, so needs to focus heavily on improving this). ✔️ I liked how aggressive and unforgiving the AI were. ❌ Some evidence that they will spin and drive the wrong way on occasions (Not good at turning around). ❌ A bit of a serious grind to unlock new tracks. Should consider career mode or seasons and open all. Value for Money: ❌ At this price, I expect to see a lot more content and depth added. ❌ Multiplayer is missing. ❌ No career mode/season mode. ❌ No ability to adjust kart or drivers clothing. ❌ Not enough tracks. Controls / Handling: ✔️ Not ACC standard aby any means, but a realistic pick up and play style SimCade. ✔️ On a controller it was very much a flicking motion to get good control. ✔️ One mistake and you're Podium to last! (I like this) ❌ Strange 90 degree flip out happened quite a lot. AI Behaviour: ✔️ AI on Max are a challenge, mostly because of their aggressive nature (Good). ✔️ On the most part I had no complaints of the AI, even when they clearly blocked me. Developer Feedback 💡 Needs more: Tracks, kart & Driver adjustments, seasons/career mode. 💡 Kart physics need a tweak & Audio needs enhancing. 💡 Add additional support for wheels and pedals.
