It's always nice to have an idea storage app for your note-taking system. It's a place where you can save anything you don't want to forget or lose including your favourite blog posts, Youtube videos, newsletters, podcasts, pictures and documents. I've been a big fan of an app called mymind which is an AI-powered bookmark app as my idea storage. But recently my girlfriend told me it was too expensive, and she's absolutely right. It's more than $10 a month, which is a bit much for a productivity app for some people. So I started to look for cheaper alternatives. The best ones I found so far are Evernote and Raindrop. Evernote is on decline for sure as a note-taking app, but it remains one of the best apps as a filling cabinet/idea storage since it has arguably the best web clipper among other productivity apps. But it still costs $5-6 a month. So, let's focus on Raindrop in this video because you can use almost all the features for free! And even the premium plan costs just $3 a month! I think Raindrop is a great companion app for your note-taking app like Obsidian, Roam, RemNote and Logseq. But I will get into how you can use it with these note-taking apps in the future videos.
