I believe that Roam, Obsidian, Remnote, and Amplenote are each the best tool for a different job. So far Amplenote is the least discussed of the modern note-taking apps, but it belongs in the conversation because no other note taking app does to-do lists so well. Amplenote's philosophy revolves around what they call the "Idea Execution Funnel." The funnel starts when you have your first spark of idea, and ends when you've refined & scheduled follow-up action. Today, there are four types of apps that get used as we move from "idea capture" to "calendar," but the shuffle from one app to the next means that some ideas get lost. Amplenote provides a cohesive experience for productivity-minded note takers to keep their ideas organized as they prepare to work on them. It also makes it easier to consistently progress toward long-term goals.
