The Generac GP8000E is the “more juice” option in this lineup—an open-frame workhorse with 8,000 running watts and 10,000 starting watts. I like it for bigger backup needs thanks to the outlet variety and 120/240V capability, but it’s heavy and it’s gasoline-only.
