About This Video

You’ve probably watched a million under-eye concealer tutorials and still felt like nothing really works—because most of them treat every under-eye the exact same. In this video, I break down the two separate problems we’re actually dealing with: color (blue/purple darkness) and texture (wrinkles, eye bags, and eye hollows). Texture is the harder one to “cover,” so I walk you through how to approach it like an artist instead of piling on more product and wondering why it’s creasing and caking. The biggest game-changer is knowing whether you have an eye bag (a protrusion/puff that sticks out) or an eye hollow (a line that sinks in). For bags, I use a concealer closer to my skin tone (even slightly deeper) right along the line—think contouring to push it back. For hollows, I do the opposite and go a bit brighter right in the line—think highlighting to bring light forward and even the playing field. Then we tackle discoloration with color correcting using the color wheel: peach/pink/yellow tones to cancel blue-purple, but I also explain undertone matters (cool tones often do better with pink; warm tones can pull off peach). And yes—always set your concealer, use less product, and finish with a light finishing powder to smooth texture without overdoing it.
