About This Video

Lu’s 30th birthday road trip vlog ends with our last day in Margaret River… and honestly, it was a bit of a disaster-movie vibe. We started the morning trying to go to Margaret River Bakery, but the queue was massive. I love baked foods, but I’m not willing to stand there for 45 minutes to an hour, especially when we still had a few hours drive back to Perth and there’s always the risk the food isn’t even that good. So we bailed and decided we’ll come back on a weekday instead. Then we did something totally different and headed to Lake Cave. I was nervous (I always imagine horror-movie scenarios), and compared to a cave we did in Korea, this one felt very short and you don’t go that far in. After that, we stopped at Canal Rocks and the weather was wild—so windy the whole car was shaking. This is where we ended up arguing because I wanted to walk on the bridge and Lu was like, “No way, it’s not safe.” Seeing people nearly get blown around (and a kid situation that made us both stress) kind of proved her point. Takeaway: some days you just trust your partner… because that keeps you alive.
