Almost DNS, 13th Place (3rd in Age Group) // Red Feather 50 Mile Trail Ultra - September 2025

I almost didn't make it to the race on time, started dead last, yet finished 13th overall (3rd in Masters). The Red Feather Trail Jamboree race in Norther Colorado features a 50 mile, 50k, and half marathon course distances, all of which are beautiful, challenging, and highly recommended. I ran the 50 mile ultra distance which included over 8500 feet of elevation gain and exceeded 10,800 feet elevation. This year, runners encountered peak fall colors, up to a foot of snow, and near ideal weather. Still, I struggled to find triumph over the challenges and had to put in extra work to earn that finish reward.
