Remember when Nickelodeon just... turned off?

Remember when Nickelodeon used to just shut off for 3 hours? That was interesting! It was a yearly tradition called The Worldwide Day of Play that was meant to encourage kids to get outside and be active. I wonder if it was received well by the average viewer...
