Welcome to my 27th birthday diaries—this vlog is basically a week in my life of all the in-between moments that make birthday season feel so magical. It starts super unexpectedly because Chris surprised me with Ally & AJ tickets (literally my childhood), so I bring you along for a last-minute concert GRWM in my new LoveShackFancy dress. I’m doing glowy skin prep, talking about how concerts are genuinely part of how I “heal my inner child,” and romanticizing the whole night—pizza, drinkable ranch (Chris’s words), and front row seats even though I don’t know all their newest lyrics yet. Then we order my birthday cake with inspo pics—white cake, raspberry filling (with extra raspberries if possible), whipped cream icing, and simple borders—because my plan is to decorate it myself. Later in the week I do a rare Sephora haul (I never buy myself makeup like this) and test new complexion products because I finally admitted my skin leans dry and my old concealer was cakey, creasy, and crusty. The actual birthday celebration is a cozy, princessy sleepover vibe at home: I wear another LoveShackFancy sample sale dress, add a bow, decorate my cake with real flowers (Trader Joe’s garden roses!), DIY a whole photo setup (including balloons tied to a teacup because… chic), and end the night blowing out candles on my flower cake.
