In this setup I used Private Internet Access because it plays nicely with Windows adapter sharing, which is the whole trick that makes the hotspot actually route through the VPN. Once it’s connected, my laptop becomes the gatekeeper and every device on the hotspot rides through the same encrypted tunnel.
