There’s a clause in many game studio contracts that quietly discourages devs from speaking openly about DEI, studio culture, or leadership. In this video, I walk through the actual HR emails and policies I dealt with as a game developer, and how those rules create a “soft silence” in the industry. A follow up to a previous discussion that Asmongold reacted to, a game developer focusses on DEI in the workplace. Issues with forced ideology and language manipulation, advocating for true inclusion based on shared values rather than demographic boxes.
