Wavlink BE8800: https://amzn.to/3YxGL5D **WiFi 7 Intel based wireless cards currently *ONLY* work on Intel based PCs, AM5 is NOT Supported yet** Today we’re taking a look at the Wavlink BE8800 WiFi 7 PCI express wireless card. Thanks to Wavlink for sponsoring this video and for sending the network card over for us to take a look at. This WiFi card is using the latest Intel BE200 chipset enabling tri band communications. Adding in the 6GHz radio to the 2.4 and 5GHz radios gives us some blazing fast wireless connectivity with up 574Mbps on the 2.4GHz band only, up to 2,400Mbps on the 5GHz only band, and up to a crazy 5,800Mbps on the 6GHz band. 🔥 Cool Stuff on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3B6Gqru 🔥 With the huge bandwidth improvement on 6GHz, you won't have any issues with streaming any media content or gaming or just transferring files. Wavlink says that the increased 320MHz transfer rate and 4K-QAM modulation improvements are what really enable the magic behind WiFi 7 speeds. Obviously you are still limited by your connection to your router or access point, it's LAN port, and your ISP Internet speed but oftentimes we are limited by the WiFi card’s capability in our desktop and laptops. This WiFi 7 add-in card also supports the latest revision of Bluetooth, version 5.4. We’re getting better Bluetooth performance here with some added security and this is still an efficient chipset to use in terms of power. The adapter also supports WPA3 which is good to see. With each generational improvement on the WiFi standard, we’re getting better throughputs at the same distances and level of environmental interference which is to say, the 6GHz band should be an improvement over 5GHz in most scenarios as long as you upgrade to a WiFi 7 access point or router in order to take advantage of this. As for the installation of this WiFi card, it was relatively simple, all I had to do was remove the slot cover for the PCIe slot I want to install this in and get it slotted into place. The antenna is obviously external on this card, once it's screwed in you can place it where it's most convenient and you get the best signal. Once the card was installed, Windows update found the driver right away and installed it which was awesome.
