Pure Base 500 FX case and the be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX 280mil all in one watercooler. This was a powerful cooling combination but I’ll be swapping out all of the Light Wings cooling fans for the Silent Wings 4 Pro fans thanks to be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM: https://amzn.to/3fNZl5p Samsung 980 Pro NVMe PCIe 4.0: https://amzn.to/3fJHAEf Before we get into the temperature and performance testing, we should take a look at the Silent Wings Pro 4, 140mm fan specs. The 140mm model has an operating speed that ranges from 400rpm all the way up to a blistering 2400rpm. These fans have a built-in switchable PWM compatible speed mode that allows for either a medium speed of about 1100rpm max, a high speed that allows for 1900rpm max, and an ultra high speed mode that goes to 2400rpm max. At maximum speed, these will put out 97CFM with a static pressure of 3.63mm to H20. The tradeoff here is that the fans will also output about 36.8dBa worth of sound output. Now that we know the specs on these fans, let's take a look at the temperature testing. The ambient temperature was about 22C and all tests were run for 1 hour per run. Since theseo fans have three maximum rpm modes, I tested all three modes to get an idea of the system performance and sound for my Ryzen 7700X and RTX 3060TI. I started off with ASUS Realbench. The 1,100 RPM mode produced an average core temp of 90.9C with a clockrate of 5.05GHz. The 1900RPM mode saw a core average of 87.4C and an average clockrate of 5.07GHz. The 2400rpm UHS mode averaged 84.9C with an average clockrate of 5.1GHz. I don’t have super accurate sound testing equipment, but the sound meter app on my phone at 3feet of distance measured an average of 30.4dBa at medium, 41.5dba at high, and 48.5dba at ultra high. The RTX 3060TI benefited from the fan upgrade as well, the medium test saw the GPU core average 68.5C with a clock rate of 1910MHz.
