The EnGenius ECS2510FP Switch: https://amzn.to/3WnNBJ0 Today we're taking a look at the Engenius ECS2510 multi gigabit switch. I had reached out to EnGenius to send this over for review so I could test out in my homelab setup and really put the switch through its paces. I'll be connecting my UnRAID storage server as well as another 2.5Gbps switch and a few Engenius wireless access points. As we buy faster and faster storage, add more and more wireless devices to our network, and upgrade our PCs and servers to 2.5gbps or 10gbps, we need some solid networking infrastructure to support that. For example, most modern NAS’s even with hard drives can get up to 2 or 2.5gbps worth of throughput when your are moving data around which would otherwise potentially be bottled necked beholder 1Gbps connections. The 2.5gigabit standard allows reuse of most existing cat 5e cabling which is awesome and all you normally need is a new switch and network adapters.
