Pure Power 11 FM: https://amzn.to/3fNZl5p Samsung 980 Pro NVMe PCIe 4.0: https://amzn.to/3fJHAEf Today we’re taking a look at the Arctic P12 MAX PWM PST fans. The P12 Max is the budget friendly high speed fan from Arctic that we’ve all hoped they would release some day. As the name suggests, the P12 Max is a 120mm fan that spins a bit faster than the standard P12 producing way more static pressure and more overall airflow. The P12 Max features PWM control, a zero RPM mode, a huge operating range from 200 to 3300 RPM, enhancements to design allowing for interesting usecases from air coolers to watercoolers, and case fan applications. The Max model can operate as low as 200rpm which is quite nice for people looking to run a quieter fan curve most of the time but still want to have that ability to boost the cooling into high gear by just switching fan profiles. While I was testing the fans, I really liked how I could create a slower RPM low noise profile and then an all out max cooling profile that actually helped performance. You can do this with any fan but the huge RPM range on the P12 Max and that super high static pressure really lends the fan to being very handy in PC cooling. At max RPM, Arctic explained that this fan can get just over 81CFM at a crazy static pressure rating of 4.35mm to H2O. That's really high and while this fan did well on my air cooler, it would do even better on an all in one cooler or custom water loop. As for the sound, we are definitely going to hear more from the Max model than the standard P12 PWM in the higher RPM range but I think it might be worth it if you need the performance. With the P12 Max cranked up to 100% on my Mugen 5 tower cooler in my Ryzen 3900XT test PC, I recorded about 38dba on my sound meter app at 30 inches away from the PC. While this was a bit louder than the stock fan maxed out, it was around 28.5dba, I was actually able to see a performance benefit from 1 single fan which is kind of cool if you think about it. In Asus RealBench, the stock Mugen 5 fan at 100% speed allowed for an average clockspeed of 4GHz at 84.5C whereas the P12 Max allowed for an average core speed of 4.03Ghz at 81c. For just replacing 1 fan, that’s actually a nice improvement. 🔥 Cool Stuff on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3B6Gqru 🔥🔥 Looking for parts?
