🔥 Cool Stuff on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3B6Gqru 🔥 Today we’re taking a look at the be quiet Dark Base 701 case courtesy of be quiet! The Dark Base 701 is classified as a midi or mid tower but make no mistake, this is a solidly large case with tons of room for working on your PC and tons of room for excellent airflow. The front panel is completely ventilated with an outer mesh and inner fine mesh that goes directly over the fans and you have mesh on the entire top side to compliment the front. This case can fit up to 3x140mm fans in the front positions and up to 3x140mm fans on the top positions and you can still have your single 140mm fan as rear exhaust. You can do either a 420m rad in the front or the top and even fit a 280 mil rad in the opposite position. This case is super breathable for air and watercooling setups which I definitely think is a plus. Most cases are long term investments in your PC, it's important to me that when I buy a case that I can expand cooling ability over time. Working inside of this case was quite easy too since the design is well thought out and it's large. There’s plenty of cable management passthroughs and lots of tie down points on the back side with a good amount of included velcro strips and wire ties. As for my test components, while I only have a baby RTX 3060 here, you can fit up to a 430mm long GPU and there's enough CPU cooler clearance to fit a massively tall 185mm tower cooler. Lots of component options here, this case can essentially grow overtime with you if you upgrade and your cooling requirements increase. This case comes stock with 3x140mm Silent Wings 4 fans, white if you buy the white case and black if you buy the black case. The Silent Wings 4 fans are very nice fans too by the way, they have a maximum rotational speed of 2400rpm, a maximum airflow rating of 97cfm, a max static air pressure of 3.64mm to h2o, and a max sound output of 36.8dba. Now these fans can spin up and get loud if you need but for my Ryzen 7700X and RTX 3060 system here, I set the fans to be about 40% fan speed and the system was whisper quiet around 31dba measured by my phone at a distance of 3ft.
