The 1stplayer NGDP 850W PSU: https://amzn.to/4fhijub Today we’re taking a look at the NGDP 850 watt power supply courtesy of 1stplayer. 1stplayer is a newer company to me, it looks like they sell cases, PSUs, peripherals, cooling and more. In terms of the NGDP lineup, we have a 750 watt, 850 watt and 1000 watt option. All of the NGDP PSUs are not only fully modular but also 80 plus gold rated in terms of efficiency. The NGDP can can run with the Fan set in a zero RPM mode or continuous operation. The PSU is relatively quiet, under 50% load the PSU is virtually indistinguishable from my noise floor. At higher loads if I listen to the PSU with the case on its side, I can hear it but generally, I can’t heat the PSU even at higher loads over anything else in my test system. 🔥 Cool Stuff on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3B6Gqru 🔥 This is a single 12V rail PSU providing 70.8 amps to power your gaming setup. I'm setting up this 850w PSU on my new AMD Ryzen 9700X and RTX 4070 Super benchmarking system.I think an 850W PSU is optimal, you aren’t buying too much PSU for a midrange gaming PC and yo have a comfortable amount of room for a GPU or CPU upgrade for example. In addition to the very high efficiency, the NGDP series is ATX 3.1 compatible meaning we are getting cabling for a PCIe 5.0 GPU power or 12VHPWR. No worries if you have an older or current generation GPU though, we have the more common 6+2 power connections available also. Just to give you an idea of the build quality, the PSU body or casing is nice and smooth, looks good in my opinion even though most cases will hide the PSU. .
