SilverStone CS330 NAS Case: https://amzn.to/3hw9THs Today we’re taking a look at the CS330 NAS case from SilverStone. A while back I built a backup UnRAID server for my primary storage NAS. I used an older Antec case but it’s time to replace that aging chassis with something a little more elegant and functional. I reached out to SilverStone to check out this CS330 mATX storage focused chassis. The CS330 is an interesting take on an mATX storage case. It features support for four 3.5inch hard drives in the standard hard drive cage inside of the case. In addition to the traditional hard drive cage, there's room for another 3.5inch drive directly below the cage. In addition to those 5 bays, there's x3 more 3.5inch hard drive bays on top of the case in a USB 3.0 connected enclosure for a total of x8 3.5inch hard drives or x7 3.5inch hard drives and x1 2.5inch drive either mechanical or SSD. That’s a decent amount of drives to stuff into a case that measures in at 8.27inches wide, 14.72inches high, and 15.16 inches deep. The case clocks in at just over 30 liters at 30.2 liters weighing about 13.3lbs. For my usage as a backup UnRAID server, 8 total 3.5inch drive bays in a smaller than standard ATX size is perfect. The main cooling in this case comes from the included 180mm AP181 fan which pushes 52.4 cfm at a static pressure rating of 0.49mm to H20 at 600RPM while generating about 15.9db of sound. The AP181 fan can spin up to 900 and 1200 RPM as well pushing 78.68cfm at 1.12mm to h20 of static pressure with 24.75db worth of sound at the midrange and 100.27cfm at 2.18mm to H20 of static pressure at a sound level of 30db maximally. Since this fan is so large, it's going to be covering the 4 hard drive cage as well as a good portion of the case above the hard drive cage. A rear fan isn’t included here but could definitely be beneficial if you’re maxing out the amount of drives inside of the CS330 or if you’re putting a high power and higher heat producing CPU into this case. 🔥 Cool Stuff on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3B6Gqru 🔥 Looking for parts?
