KingBank sent over a 32 gigabyte DDR4-3200 megatransfer kit. DDR4 desktop systems are still alive and well and oftentimes if you’re building a budget system, the value still can't be beat. Today I’ll be upgrading from an older 16GB kit in this Ryzen 3700X GTX 1070 8Gb budget Gaming PC. These days with tons of extra apps running in the background, streaming video or streaming to twitch or YouTube is common all while gaming. 16GB definitely will work but 32GB is definitely going to let you get a bit farther without hurting performance or just needing to close out of apps. The kit I'm testing out today is a dual 16gb dimm kit, they’re coming with silver heatsinks too which is nice. This kit is super price competitive which matters for budget builds. The kit is rated for 3200 mega transfers at CL16 at 1.35V and it runs flawlessly after installing and enabling DOCP or XMP if you’re familiar with that. Having that extra 16gb available is definitely useful in 2025. I took a look at gaming performance in 3dMark and Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail, I had a small bump in framerate but plenty of available memory for other apps like obs chrome discord and more. The KingBank 32GB CL16 kit comes in around $50 on Amazon but at the time I’m making this video, it's on sale for $38 bucks which is an awesome deal. I’d definitely recommend upgrading from 16gb at these prices.
