This is a high performance memory kit developed for use with AMD and Intel systems since it comes with both an XMP and EXPO profile. The kit consists of two memory modules, each 16GB. I’ll be using my standard test bench on the AM5 platform with the Ryzen 9700X CPU and the ASRock X670E PG Lightning motherboard so I’ll be making use of that EXPO certified profile for maximum performance. For my test system here with the 9700X I’ll be pairing the ASUS RTX 4070 Super. These days for new gaming rigs, I really see 32GB being the best value for performance and cost as far as system memory goes. 32GB of system memory will definitely last you quite a few years too. As for the speed and timings, if you’re running a newer AMD Ryzen system, you definitely want to show off that system, I think the RGB lighting element is a nice accent to a fully specc’d out gaming rig. I mentioned this before but I think getting into an AM5 platform with the JEDEC stock 4800MT memory is probably not worth the cost savings and it’s definitely not going to have that premium look. DDR-6000 is still the sweet spot with Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 9000 CPUs so for that extra boost of performance, this kit comes in handy. I noticed some gains in the average and 1% low framerate improvements on my 9700X RTX 4070 Super gaming rig.
