I grabbed these RUITOOL nippers because they were stupid cheap (around $15-ish) and I’m always testing budget tools. The blade is super thin and they cut regular plastic sprue pretty clean, but I’d keep them for plastic only and treat them like a “buy two” kind of tool so you’ve got a backup when you nick the edge.
Pros
- +Very affordable for a hobby nipper
- +Cuts regular plastic sprue clean and fairly flush
- +Blades lined up clean in my checks
Cons
- -Super thin blade—use caution and don’t force it
- -Single-edged; I prefer double-edge for a cleaner slice feel
- -Not recommended for resin or harder/bootleg plastics
