I tested the Cable Matters USB-C dock because I’ve been waiting for a proper dock in the USB-C iPhone era. The build quality is solid and it supports the phone/tablet in a way that doesn’t stress the USB-C port, but for iPhone it falls short because I couldn’t get data transfer working and display requires HDMI instead of a true single-cable USB-C solution.
