I've ran thousands of miles with my Stryd Pod and collected a lot of data! My biggest reason to start running with a Stryd Pod was to be able to train and race with power (watts). To be honest, I still primarily use heart rate and pace to focus my training sessions, but I'm always aware of my power and certainly use the power metric post workout to analyze the data. Also, I use my Stryd Pod as a power meter, but it also provides a massive amount of additional metrics (most of which I doubt would be relevant to the average runner). As a one time purchase of the hardware (the pod itself), I think it's likely worth the purchase, which is good, because if it was a ongoing monthly fee, I'm not sure I would justify it.
