The Cloudultra is a versatile shoe that makes a great door to trail option. Very comfortable on the road but still has enough of a trail outsole to get the job done off-road. The only trade off with having such a versatile trail shoe is that it doesn't perform the best in bad trail conditions such as snow and mud. Also, make sure you size up a half size as these fit short! The Cloudventure is certainly for more hardcore trail runners than the Cloudultra. A much more aggressive outsole digs into the trails much better and makes it a better option for those trails that have a lot mud/snow/rain. The trade off with this shoe is that some may find the ride a bit harsh on pavement, although I imagine not many people wearing this shoe will be taking it on pavement.
