Asics Metaspeed Edge Review | First Impressions Run

Today was my first run in the new Asics Metaspeed Edge and I'm excited to give my first impressions review this new carbon-plated race day shoe. The Asics Metaspeed Edge is the 2nd carbon-plated race day shoe Asics released this year with the first being the Asics Metaspeed Sky. The Metaspeed Sky focuses on runners that are "striders" and have similar cadences at most speeds and this new Metaspeed Edge focuses on runners that have more of a cadence style. My cadence varies greatly from an easy run to race day, which should technically make the Metaspeed Edge my go to shoe (I will have to test against the Metaspeed Sky to compare). I had a great experience in my first run in the Asics Metaspeed Edge! Tempo/threshold pace was easy to hold, the shoe felt very secure when cornering and descending and overall, I have a feeling the Metaspeed Edge is going to give the Nike Vaporfly some serious competition when it comes to runner's favorite race day shoe.
