The 80/20 principle is very simple and yet, I find a lot of athletes struggle with it. The 80/20 training concept can be easily applied to runners and triathletes and comes down to training at 80% lower intensity and 20% higher intensity. Some athletes have a tendency to train too far out of this range and often are not doing their lower intensity at an easy enough effort.
