2023 Director Reel - RoyalZProduction

2023 wasn't so much a year of excelling at the technicals of filming and editing, but more or less a year that I learnt the most about business and understanding when to say yes and no to opportunities and or video projects. As you may have noticed, there wasn't a whole lot of diversity in my 2023 reel. That's because I shot the least amount I ever have in a full year. Working on higher budget projects and taking less volume of work so I can put more time and effort into pre production, production and post production. In doing so, it opened up an abundance of opportunities outside of video production. Being able to release more online courses to expand my passive income streams and even co-founding Kryo Health and Wellness, attacking the cold plunge portable ice bath scene which has been very successful the the short period of time of launching an e-commerce product. 2023 taught me to invest more time into myself. Cutting out things or people in my life that add little to no value to my wellbeing. Surrounding myself with more like minded people, splurging a little bit by buying back my childhood car, or even starting to train MMA fighting heavily. All positive things that I do for myself and not for others. As I upload this 2023 director reel, recapping the visuals I've captured throughout the past year, if you've been following my channel for a bit, I've always found myself using songs in my highlight reel that reflect the visuals in the reel itself. This year, I used the same song as my 2018 reel. Why? because 2018 was my breakthrough year where I really started to take my grind and passion for video very seriously. It was by far my biggest year of both losses and growth. Cheesy, I know, but I love sprinkling in little easter eggs into sentimental videos like my reels as they're always motivational for me to look back on years down the road. Going into 2024, expect a serious influx in YouTube content being posted onto this channel. Majority being tutorial / vlog based. The reason I started filmmaking in the first place was from simply uploading my automotive content to this very channel. I did it out of passion and excitement to showcase my work, not because of the numbers or growth of the channel. I think going into 2024, It's time to ground myself a little more on this platform and appreciate why I started posting here to begin with. See you all in the New Year! Much love - Z
