Why I hate the KLR. Adventure riding in Oman Episode 18

Day 7 Episode 14 of my Solo Oman Adventure. Yesterday was amazing, today, not so much ! But we need these balances in life to really appreciate things. After not having any sleep the night before, and having to battle the worst cross winds I've ever had to ride through, I managed to have a few mishaps.Not being tall enough to properly touch the ground, and having the bike lowered a bit but not the kickstand, I've had a few issues with dropping it. If you havn't noticed.... Mainly standing still when I go to put my foot down and the ground is uneven, the bike just slowly falls down... DOH !!!!! In total I rode 286 KM this day through extreme wind. Not being able to go as fast as I usually do I didn't make it to the destination I had planned. Instead I went to Sur, a medium sized town off the coast, where I booked into a small hotel for the night.
