Can I make a headboard for a book lover with scrap wood?

We got a bed frame, but needed a headboard, so I decided to build one for my wife. She really loves to read and so I thought I would try to make her something special. This is just a simple headboard with scrap wood, but I might build it again in the future with new wood. I think it came out well and she seems to like it. What do you think?
