BUYING AND BUILDING OUR OWN SKATEPARK? (Roll Minnesota)

It's always been my dream to run my own skatepark, and after saving and investing for over a decade, it's finally a possibility . . . but first we have to find a building! For the last year or so, I've been actively searching for a piece of property to purchase and build into a personal skatepark and business office: the Roll Minnesota Headquarters. Over this time, I've reviewed dozens of properties across Minnesota, toured a handful in person, and had a number of near-misses when putting in offers. Needless to say, the real-estate market has been extremely competitive this year! In this episode, I thought I would finally share this experience with everyone along with some of the difficulties I encountered and lessons I've learned along the way. The process of finding, assessing, inspecting, financing, and ultimately purchasing commercial real-estate is unexpectedly complex; however, I'm hopeful that we will find something eventually.
