I was just trying to help a student get into the College of Winterhold in Skyrim, but Lydia had other plans. This let’s play kicks off with some serious necromancer scum trying to ruin my day near Solitude, but Lydia and I aren't having any of it. We run into these skeleton guards and a novice mage who honestly thought he could block my fireballs—bless his heart. After a bit of a walkthrough of some ancient ruins and a light-on-its-feet playthrough where I somehow manage to avoid getting blown up by Lydia’s "friendly fire," we finally track down the ivory claw and snag some fragments of the Gauldur Amulet. The gameplay gets real spicy when we reach Reachwater Rock; I had to fight three ghostly brothers and their dad just to piece that amulet back together. I even ramped up the difficulty to expert because, apparently, being god-tier was getting "too easy." We wrapped things up with a massive crafting session back in Whiterun, turning a mountain of iron into gold jewelry like some kind of budget alchemist. Honestly, watching Lydia accidentally Superman-stab an interrogator at Northwatch Keep while we were rescuing Thorald Greymane was the highlight of the whole playthrough.
