In the summer of 2024 I walked from Canada to Los Angeles on a journey of gratitude. Upon arriving in LA, I gave away everything I owned (yes even my computer and clothes) and the last of my money, embarking on a three month experiment in simple living, making my home in Griffith Park. On day 81 of the experiment, a filmmaker named Alex joined me to take you along for a day. This is a raw, authentic window into the extreme experiment. I show you where I’ve been sleeping, how I practice hygiene, take you dumpster diving and foraging and bring you into the behind the scenes of my activism. I’m grateful for this opportunity to share my life with you. My life is my message and I’m here to stimulate critical thought in the difficult times that we live in and create conversation around ways to move forward to live in harmony with Earth, humanity and the plants and animals we share this home with. Filmed April 18th, 2025 in Griffith Park, Los Angeles on Day 81 of the Non-Ownership Experiment.
