You will not believe what happened to us on our very first night in our brand new Dutchmen Kodiak Cub travel trailer. Hint, it rained the entire night. Thunder, lighting and heavy rain for more than 10 hours caused the lake we were camped near, to rise an extraordinary amount. So much so, a fellow RV'er started pounding on everyone's trailer who was camped nearby, to wake them up as it was before dawn. After getting my pants on and opening the door, I was met with over a foot of water and the road to escape was not visible. Thankfully, we had not disconnected the truck from our travel trailer since we were leaving the next day. Unfortunately, our stabilizing jacks would not come up with the power buttons, so I had to lift them manually, however this was our very first night in the trailer and I was not familiar with how to raise them manually, not to mention, I needed to find the tool required to do so.. It was quite a start to RV life...see how it all ended in this U.S. Road Trip travel vlog episode #3. Up next, our road trip to Huntsville, Alabama in search of the "One Thing" you can miss when you visit the Rocket City.
