In this Savannah travel vlog we take a walk through Georgia's oldest city. We explore the historic downtown and waterfront district, while also comparing Savannah to Charleston, South Carolina. Take a walk through Savannah with us as we share our opinion as to which city is best to visit if you can only do one. Savannah and Charleston are only a couple hours apart, so if you have the time, we certainly recommend visiting both. If you're visiting Savannah for the first time, the city can feel a bit overwhelming! But not to worry, park in the city's public garage and you can walk to everything the historic downtown has to offer, including the waterfront district. Savannah is a quaint, quirky and historic city. The following Savannah must-dos will give you the well-rounded experience. Explore Forsyth Park - This 30 acre park is nestled in the Historic Landmark District and is known for it's Spanish moss draped oak trees, pedestrian/jogger-friendly sidewalks and the iconic fountain. The Savannah City Market is one of the areas must-see spots! Meet some of the city’s emerging artists, listen to live music, visit the American Prohibition Museum, or dine at one of the many restaurants. River Street (Riverfront District) is a glittering, multi-faceted gem along the broad Savannah River. The century old buildings, once cotton warehouses, have been converted to antique shops, distinctive boutiques, spectacular galleries, quaint brew pubs, fabulous restaurants, unique nightspots, elegant inns and hotels. Bustling with welcoming hospitality, it’s also the place to see Savannah from the river that made her by taking a cruise or watching ships from around the globe sail into one of the busiest ports in America. These three areas will provide a great glimpse into Savannah, Georgia and will be enough to fill an entire day.
