St Augustine Florida is the oldest continuously occupied city in the United State, dating all the way back to 1565. We spent just over 24 hours in St Augustine and had an absolute blast diving into more than four centuries of history, which includes Spanish, English, Greek the the Native and African Americans. We strolled down narrow streets and visited landmarks such as Castillo de San Marcos and the Ponce de Leon's "Fountain of Youth." Our highlight was a sunset sailing cruise with St Augustine Sailing. Just 45-minutes south of Jacksonville on Highway US 1 this charming gem is situated neatly along the shores of the Matanzas River. The Southern and Spanish-influenced St Augustine, Florida has centuries-old cobblestone streets making you feel like you are in some European city. It’s a charming escape for anyone wanting to take a vacation but can’t justify taking the journey abroad. Follow us along as we discover St Augustine Florida for the first time, which is part of our overall U.S. Road Trip vlog series. Our next stop is the Everglades, so come along with us as we show you around.
